Our number ten started last season in red hot form scoring 3 and assisting 4 goals in our first 3 league matches. Sadly due to Covid-19 the season was abruptly cancelled and the rest is history. 

As we wait for the new season to start we caught up with Fabien to chat about his teammates and get some insider info on what goes on in the Rovers dressing room. He tells us who’s the funniest, craziest and even the worst dancer in the team.

Who is the funniest player in the team?

Funniest in the squad has to be Remy De Ketelaere for sure. The lad just loves to play around so much. He was born to be an entertainer.

What about the craziest?

Xavier Celestine our goalkeeper has to be the craziest. He’s got so much love and passion for the team and if an opponent is not playing fairly then good luck to them and the referee too!

Who’s the best dressed?

We have a lot of players with swag in the team. But best dressed is probably Jean-Michel Vidot. Always looking fresh!

And the worst dressed?

Xavier Celestine probably gets this because he is just different. He’s got his own unique style…

Who is the best dancer in the team?

Remy De Ketelaere by far. I’ve never seen someone with crazy moves like that. We have a lot of clips of him dancing being shared in our team WhatsApp group.

And the worst dancer?

Most of our players can dance. But I couldn’t say the same about our management team!

Who has the best taste in music?

That would be me! I’m a singer and rapper and I run the music in the team. In the season when we won the title I made a rap song for Rovers which predicted we would be champions and it was just like the track predicted!

And the worst taste in music?

I think I will say Fabian Lablache only because I’ve never heard a single song coming out of his car at training. Maybe he’s into country music or something like that so he’s embarrassed to let us hear it.

Who is the smartest player in the team?

Our captain Randolph Lablache who is our most experienced player. The way he constructs plays with intelligence and technique is always a joy to watch.

Who is most likely to be a future coach/manager?

I was going to say Chris Rousseau as future manager but he has just been promoted to that position! He always played and trained every day with determination and discipline. He is going to do a really good job here as manager.
