Rovers are delighted to announce the signing of Ryan Marcel from Premier League team Anse Reunion FC.

The versatile 27-year old defender had previously spent 6 months on loan with Rovers in the title winning 2019/20 season.

Speaking about his signing, Ryan said: “I’m really happy to be back at Rovers and to have the chance to help the Club again.

“I enjoyed my time here during my loan and it was always my intention to make a permanent move once I was back on Mahe.

“I returned a better and more experienced player and hopefully with the help of the Club I can continue to improve and help us to achieve our goals.”

Milan Blaga, Rovers Technical Director, said: “We are really pleased to complete this transfer.

“We have been wanting to re-sign Ryan ever since his loan expired and now it’s finally over the line.

“There is a lot to like about him as he has a good combination of intelligence and energy which allows him to both read the game well and play with aggression.”

Ryan is already known by the majority of the squad and will also be linking up with his former coach from La Digue, Juel Ah-Kong.

He will wear the number 14 jersey.
