Rovers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of 29-year old central defender Valdo Azemia.

Valdo joins Rovers having previously played for Lions FC and Plaisance FC in both the 1st and 2nd tiers of Seychelles football. 

Valdo enjoyed plenty of success with Plaisance FC helping them win league titles and promotion from 3rd division all the way to 1st division in back to back seasons.

Discussing his arrival to the Club, Valdo said: “I feel that Rovers is a well structured team with a good plan for the future.

“I’m happy to be part of this team and I hope that I will be at my best to help.”

Speaking of Valdo, Head Coach, Steve Herbots said: “Valdo brings organisation, awareness and composure to our back line.

“He will also add quality leadership from an important area of the field.

“I am delighted with his signing on a key position in the team.”

Kosta Todorovic, Rovers FC Manager, added: “Valdo brings us quality and experience in a position where we have been short on players over the years. 

“He will be a fine addition to our squad.”

The experienced left-footed centre back today met his new teammates at preseason training in preparation for next season.
