Oliver Dugasse signs for Rovers

Rovers FC can confirm the signing of Oliver Dugasse. The 20-year old left back joins Rovers having previously played for Lions FC.

Oliver spoke about his signing, saying: “Rovers will give me the chance to face new challenges; which I believe I’m ready for, as well as the opportunity to grow and become a better player, on and off the pitch.”

Oliver grew up and started playing football on Praslin and earned a selection into the Seychelles U17 squad whilst still playing for his school. Later he moved to Mahe and joined Lions FC playing primarily at left back and left wing.

Discussing Oliver’s arrival at the Club, Head Coach, Steve Herbots said: “Oliver is an attacking threat from full back and dares to push very high.

“He has good passing and pace and can turn defence into attack effectively to help us create scoring opportunities.”

Kosta Todorovic, Rovers FC Manager, said: “Oliver plays with energy and enthusiasm and as a young player I’m sure he will have a bright future at Rovers.”

Oliver has already started training with the squad in preparation for the 2020/21 season.
